Welcome to the Grief Challenges website
The site was developed partly to mark the publication of Neil Thompson's important book, Grief and its Challenges and partly to provide an information hub to help people develop their understanding of loss and grief and associated matters. There is a wealth of information available, but it can take time to track it down. This site can therefore serve a useful purpose by providing a central point from which information can be sought.
The site is divided into four main sections as follows:
• Update This is to be found on this page and comprises a newsfeed (in the right-hand column), a resources update and an announcements facility (both below this Welcome message) Please let us know if you would like to make an announcement that will be of interest to our visitors.
• In Touch This part of the site gives visitors the opportunity to link up with other people in cyberspace. It provides details of relevant blogs and social media sites (Facebook groups, for example) and provides access to our Grief Challenges photo gallery and YouTube channel.
• Connections Here you will find a set of relevant websites in different categories to help you track down information, whether for personal or professional reasons, for serious research or just to find out more for your own personal interest.
• The Directory As the name implies, this is a place to look for relevant organisations and service providers. Basic entries are free so, if you want to have your service or organisation represented here, follow the instructions given.
We hope you find the site useful and interesting. If you have any feedback please use the 'Contact' tab at the top of this page. Thanks.
